Fluentics ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

1. What We Collect

• Account information: Your name and email address when you register.
• Words and vocabulary data: The words you save, their meanings, examples, and your confidence levels.
• Usage data: Practice sessions, streak data, and app settings stored locally and in our database.
• Marketing preference: Whether you opted in to receive updates from us.

2. How We Use Your Data

• To provide and improve the app experience
• To sync your vocabulary across devices
• To send you product updates and tips (only if you opted in)
• To understand how users interact with the app (aggregate analytics)

3. Data Storage

Your data is stored securely using Supabase, hosted in the EU. Each user can only access their own data. We use row-level security to enforce this.

4. AI Processing

When you add a word, we send it to Anthropic's Claude API to generate vocabulary cards and exercises. We do not store your words on Anthropic's servers beyond the immediate API call. Please see Anthropic's Privacy Policy for their data handling.

5. Marketing Emails

If you opted in during registration, your email is stored in our marketing platform (HubSpot). You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in any email we send, or by contacting us.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the data we hold about you
• Request deletion of your account and all associated data
• Opt out of marketing communications at any time
• Export your vocabulary data

7. Data Retention

We retain your data as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days.

8. Cookies

We use only essential cookies required for authentication (Supabase session tokens). We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

9. Children's Privacy

Our service is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
